The next penguin update is happening soon, and according to Gary Illyes, Google webmaster Trend Analyst, this would probably be released within this year.  As only 2 months are remaining, we would assume that this would happen within the next two months. This penguin releases would also be a real time version meaning that the algorithm would be updated continuously in the real time.

Also, any particular dates have not been mentioned. This means that if Google detects a spammy link on a site, it would penalize it through its penguin update.
